Climate Change Policy

Purpose

Bridgehampton recognizes climate change as a source of physical, transition, regulatory, market, technology, financing, and reputation risk and opportunity. The Company will integrate climate considerations into strategy, project design, risk management, capital allocation, operations, and external communications while supporting reliable and affordable energy.

Commitments

  • Maintain a proportionate greenhouse-gas inventory for operated assets and material value-chain categories where reliable data is available.
  • Prioritize prevention and reduction of methane emissions, routine flaring, venting, energy waste, and fugitive emissions where technically and economically practicable and legally required.
  • Evaluate climate resilience, carbon costs, technology, market demand, water stress, extreme weather, and transition scenarios in major investments and country decisions.
  • Incorporate climate and emissions considerations into engineering design, procurement, maintenance, abandonment, and decommissioning.
  • Work with partners, suppliers, customers, communities, and governments on practical emissions-reduction and resilience measures.
  • Set targets only after establishing a defensible baseline, methodology, accountability, and Board approval; avoid unsupported net-zero, carbon-neutral, or low-carbon claims.
  • Report climate information accurately and consistently where required by law, financing agreement, or Board-approved reporting framework.

Governance

The Board oversees climate risk. The Sustainability Committee reviews strategy, emissions performance, material targets, public claims, and emerging requirements. Management owns implementation and must escalate material deviation, legal noncompliance, or significant physical-climate events.

Disclosure controls

Public climate claims, emissions metrics, offsets, scenario results, and targets must be supported by documented methods and reviewed by technical, legal, and financial personnel. Reporting may consider ISSB, TCFD-derived, GHG Protocol, or other frameworks where adopted by the Board or required, but no framework is represented as mandatory unless applicable.

Administration

Implementation accountability rests with The Sustainability Committee and Chief Operating Officer. The responsible function will maintain this document and update it following a material legal, regulatory, operational, ownership, or business change.
